Head Of Unit
Sarah Afua Dede is the Head of the La Business Advisory Centre of Ghana Enterprises Agency (GEA). She joined GEA in 2019 as an Assistant Business Advisor after which she was promoted to her current rank in 2020.
Sarah earned BA. (Hons) in Industrial Arts from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and proceeded to undertake further studies in the Institute of Commercial Management, UK where she obtained a certificate in Financial Management.
What We Do
The Ghana Enterprises Agency (GEA) (formerly National Board for Small-Scale Industries (NBSSI) is a government agency under the Ministry of Trade and Industry. The GEA is mandated by the Ghana Enterprises Agency Act, 2020 (Act 1043) to promote and develop MSMEs in Ghana. The NBSSI was replaced by the Ghana Enterprises Agency in November 2020. It aims to interrelate, administer and stimulate the development of MSMEs.
Vision and Mission Statement
The vision of GEA is to be the apex MSMEs organisation for building globally competitive businesses toward job and wealth creation with a mission to facilitate the creation of an enabling business environment, development of financial and non-financial services and the building of supportive institutional infrastructure.
