The La Dade-Kotopon Municipal Assembly (LaDMA) has taken steps to promote economic growth and development by assisting various associations and organizations in the municipality to form cooperative societies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In June 2022, LaDMA provided support and guidance to over 20 associations and organizations to form cooperatives, aimed at promoting collective bargaining power and enabling members to access funding and resources that would be difficult to obtain individually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The cooperatives formed by the associations and organizations include those involved in agriculture, trade, and craft-making, among others. By pooling their resources and expertise, members of the cooperatives can benefit from economies of scale, reduced costs of production, and increased market access, among other benefits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Commenting on the initiative, the Municipal Chief Executive of LaDMA, Hon. Solomon Niikoi, noted that the formation of cooperatives is an important step towards empowering communities and promoting economic growth at the grassroots level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The initiative has been widely welcomed by members of the various associations and organizations in the municipality, with many expressing gratitude for the support and guidance provided by LaDMA. It is hoped that the formation of the cooperatives will promote sustainable economic growth and development in the municipality, and improve the livelihoods of the people.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
