The nominee, out of the fifteen votes cast,\nchalked a unanimously 100 percent endorsement.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>This\ndemocratic exercise became necessary for a new MCE to occupy the vacant seat\nleft after the demise of the late MCE Madam Gladys Tsotsoo Mann-Dedey in June\nthis year.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ladma.gov.gh\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/DSC_0191-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-515\" width=\"575\" height=\"383\"\/><figcaption><strong>Mr Kotey Nikoi being sworn in as the new MCE by the Greater Accra Regional Minister<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Before\nhis nomination by the President of the Republic of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwa\nAkufo-Addo, Mr. Nikoi, an astute Politician, was the Constituency Chairman of\nthe New Patriotic Party, NPP for the La Dade-Kotopon constituency. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>In\nhis acceptance speech, Mr. Solomon Kotey Nikoi thanked the Assembly Members for\nthe confidence imposed in him for his overwhelming endorsement. He promised to\nwork with them to ensure that development projects are brought to the\nmunicipality. Ishmael Ashitey\nurged the MCE to put the necessary actions in place to advance the development of\nthe municipality. He called on both the Assembly Members and the Staffs of the\nAssembly to cooperate with the MCE for effective work done.
