Ms. Harriet Afari Aikins is a seasoned technology leader with a Master’s degree in Management Information Systems from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. With her diverse educational background, including a first degree in Computer Science and Psychology from the University of Ghana, Legon, she brings a unique blend of technical expertise and understanding of human behavior to her role. She also holds Diploma in Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Certificate in Cybersecurity Incident Response Planning & Management, Certificate in Web Mastering, Certificate in Mastering IT Series on Programming in Microsoft C# and Certificate in Data Science at the Ghana-India Kofi Annan Centre of Excellence in ICT, Accra.
Ms. Harriet Afari Aikins serves as the National Vice Chairperson for the Association of Local Government MIS Officers, demonstrating her commitment to advancing the field of MIS. She has honed her skills in aligning MIS strategies with organizational goals, driving technology to support and enhance objectives of the organisation over the years.
She has proven ability to align MIS strategies with organizational goals, ensuring technology supports and drives business objectives. Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement. With over thirteen years of experience in leveraging data analytics tools and methodologies to derive actionable insights and drive informed decision-making. The main objective of the MIS Class is to collect, analyse and manage information to support the development, management and implementatioTo provide leadership in the development and the application of IT/IM standards and quality assurance system in relation to the implementation, development and the deployment of IT/IM systems and resources.
