The Accra Mall Traders Association has demonstrated its commitment to environmental cleanliness by donating bottled water to the La Dade-Kotopon Municipal Assembly (LaDMA) in support of the upcoming National Sanitation Day exercise scheduled for Saturday, 6th February 2026.
The donation, which was received by officials of the Assembly, is intended to provide refreshment and motivation to sanitation workers, volunteers, and municipal officers who will be participating in the clean-up activities across the municipality.
This thoughtful gesture highlights the Association’s dedication to public health and community well-being. By partnering with the Assembly, the traders have shown their recognition of the important role that the private sector and business communities play in maintaining a clean and healthy environment.
The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Alfredos Nii Anyetei, expressed appreciation to the Accra Mall Traders Association for their support. He encouraged other corporate bodies and business associations to emulate this example by contributing in various ways to the sanitation agenda of the municipality.
“We are grateful to the Accra Mall Traders Association for this kind gesture. It is heartwarming to see the business community coming on board to support our collective efforts toward a cleaner La Dade-Kotopon Municipality,” a statement from the Assembly noted.
The donation serves as a morale booster for the frontline workers who dedicate their time and energy to ensuring the success of the monthly sanitation exercise.
LaDMA continues to call on all residents, institutions, and businesses to actively participate in the upcoming Sanitation Day on 6th February 2026, as the Assembly works tirelessly to promote environmental hygiene and public health across all communities.
