The La Dade-Kotopon Municipal Assembly as part of it social responsibility on Wednesday April 14, 2021 schooled Six Five-revenue collectors on modern technology to mobilised revenue in the municipality.
Participants for the training drawn from the Municipal Finance Department, Budget, Internal Audit, MIS and some selected staff from Physical Planning, Works, and the Nation Builders Corp. They were taken through Map Reading, Understanding GPS Coordinates, and Categorization of buildings, plots, and properties and Using Google docs in data capturing to get real time update of database data using Tse-Addo as an experimental study.
The coordinating director for the La Dade-Kotopon Municipal Assembly, Mr Daniel Nkrumah urged the participants to be committed to the task ahead. According to him the outbreak of the COVID- 19 Pandemic affects the assembly revenue base and could not achieved its target to address some of the infrastructure deficits in the municipality. He urged the officers to identify private own businesses and estate owners who have default payment of Business Permits and Property Rates respectively.
Mr Daniel Nkrumah bemoans the activities of Businesses and Property owners who make so much profit but pay very petite to the assembly and called for the review of some of the businesses and properties in the municipality.
