The La Dadekotopon Municipal Assembly has successfully removed an authorized container which was blocking the right of way and preventing residents from accessing their homes. The container was situated in a way that blocked access to the road, hindering free movement of people and vehicles.
The LaDMA officials took swift action in accordance with the Local Governance Act 2016, Act 936, which gives them the mandate to regulate, control and monitor the use of public spaces within the district. The authorities made several attempts to contact the owners of the container to remove it but all efforts proved futile.

The situation posed a great risk to the safety of residents, especially in the event of an emergency. The authorities had no choice but to take the necessary action to ensure that the right of way was cleared.
The operation was carried out without any resistance from the owners of the container, and no damage was done to the container. It was removed peacefully with the help of heavy-duty machinery and taken to a temporary holding area for safekeeping.
The removal of the container has brought great relief to the residents, who can now access their homes without any hindrance. The LaDMA authorities have also advised individuals and organizations to follow the proper procedures when placing containers or any other structures within public spaces to avoid similar occurrences in the future.
The district assembly has reassured the public that it will continue to monitor and regulate the use of public spaces to ensure that they are used in a way that does not endanger public safety or impede the free flow of traffic.
