
The Assembly Members and selected staff of La Dade-Kotopon Municipal Assembly (LaDMA) in the Greater Accra Region have been trained in leadership skills at the Eastern Premier Hotel in the Eastern regional capital, Koforidua on Friday May 20, 2022 to Sunday May 22, 2022.The training was organised at the instance of the assembly members in line with the assembly’s organisational policy through the human resource department in conjunction with the office of the Presiding Member.
Miss Christabel Naa Kai, the head of human resource of LaDMA, mentioned that the three days training is aimed at empowering and sharpening the skills of the participants in the growing field of leadership.The participants were taken through the assembly and law making, agenda settings by the various committees of the assembly, the real leadership of the assembly, public procurement in Ghana (ACT 914) and resource mobilisation and local economic development.
Addressing the participants, the MCE of LaDMA, Mr Solomon Kotey Nikoi mentioned that the assembly would continue to create an enabling environment for the participants to thrive in their line of duty.Mr Emmanuel Baah Nyarko, the presiding member of LaDMA called the session to order, welcomed the participants to the training, and urged them to be thankful to management for their continuous support for the members.
