The exercise was well received by the community, as residents acknowledged the need for such activities to be carried out regularly to prevent flooding during the rainy season. The authorities also took the opportunity to educate residents on the need to avoid building structures on waterways, as this poses a risk to both the environment and human lives.
In conclusion, the exercise carried out to clear structures on the waterways in Tse Addo is a step in the right direction towards preventing flooding in the community. The authorities responsible for enforcing development control laws and regulations are encouraged to carry out similar exercises in other communities prone to flooding to safeguard lives and properties during the rainy season.
