FINAL YEAR JHS STUDENTS WRITE MOCK EXAMS IN PREPARATION FOR BECE

As the 2022 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) draws closer, Junior High School (JHS) students in LaDMA are gearing up to take their mock exams. The LaDMA Mocks is an exam written annually by JHS 3 students to help them prepare for the BECE.

The purpose of mocks is to give students a sense of what to expect during the actual BECE and help them identify areas they need to improve on. This exam is also an opportunity for teachers to assess their students’ strengths and weaknesses and provide them with tailored feedback to help them improve.

Preparations for the 2022 mocks are already underway, with teachers working hard to ensure that their students are well-prepared for the exam. Students are being given extra study materials and revision classes to help them review and consolidate what they have learned throughout the academic year.

The Mock is not just about testing students’ knowledge and understanding of various subjects, but also about building their confidence and reducing exam anxiety. By taking part in this exam, students get a taste of what it feels like to sit for a high-stakes exam, which helps to reduce stress and increase their confidence when they take the actual BECE.

Moreover, the mocks provide students with an opportunity to compete with their peers and showcase their academic abilities. The results of this exam are used to rank schools and identify top-performing students, which can be a great source of motivation for students to work harder and strive for academic excellence.

In conclusion, the mocks is an essential part of the academic calendar for JHS students in LaDMA. It provides them with a chance to practice and prepare for the BECE while building their confidence and reducing exam anxiety. The mocks also encourage healthy competition among students and helps to identify top-performing students and schools.
