The team thereafter continued to inspect Tenachie JHS, where the rainstorm had uprooted trees that accidentally fell on one of the classrooms, damaging the roof. The MCE tasked NADMO to cut down the fallen trees on the roof to avoid fatalities.
The team’s next point of call was at the Maale Dada School compound, where it was observed that the nails used in roofing the school building were weak due to the sea breeze and could not withstand the magnitude of the storm.
The Hon .MCE assured the Head Teachers of the affected schools that, the Assembly would be working very hard to have the problem fixed as soon as possible for pupils to return to school, especially the form three students who were preparing for their final examination.
